DU QUOIN STATE FAIR RETURNS AUGUST 28TH WITH FREE ADMISSION

The Du Quoin State Fair returns later this month for 11 days of concerts, racing, carnival rides, livestock shows and other entertainment, with admission to the fairgrounds once again free. The 2026 fair runs Friday, August 28, through Labor Day, Monday, September 7, with the grounds open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight. Last year’s fair attracted a record 282,202 visitors.

Opening night will feature the traditional Twilight Parade at 6 p.m., along with free parking.

Grandstand entertainment includes Wiz Khalifa on August 29, Kameron Marlowe and Ashley Cooke on August 30, Tyler Hubbard on September 3, Night Ranger on September 4, Russell Dickerson on September 5 and Randy Houser on September 7.

Free entertainment will also be offered throughout the fair, including The Band Perry at the Beer Tent Stage at 9 p.m. August 29.

Racing remains a major part of the fair. Harness racing begins at 4 p.m. August 31 with free Grandstand admission, while the Magic Mile will host USAC Silver Crown and ARCA racing during the fair. Other attractions include livestock competitions, carnival rides, food vendors and special recognition days honoring veterans, agriculture and youth, seniors, first responders and other groups.

While fair admission is free, parking ranges from $10 to $15 per day, depending on the lot. An 11-day parking pass is available for $30.

The Du Quoin State Fair runs August 28 through September 7 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.
