Flora Rotary will bring local history to life during its 12th annual Shadows of Elmwood Cemetery Tour on September 11 and 12.
Tours begin at 5 p.m. each evening, with ticket sales continuing until 9 p.m. Tours will continue until the final ticketholder has completed the experience.
Visitors will board hay wagons for a ride through Elmwood Cemetery, where local volunteers will perform eight skits highlighting the lives and history of former area residents. Two additional skits will entertain guests while they wait to board.
Tickets are $8 and may be purchased at the Flora Depot on the night of the event or in advance through Eventbrite. A $25 Benefactor ticket provides priority boarding, with the additional cost benefiting Flora Rotary.
Two six-passenger golf carts will also be available for guests unable to board the hay wagons.
New this year, the Krazy Sweet Treats food truck will be on site offering food and desserts.
The Shadows of Elmwood Cemetery Tour is Flora Rotary’s largest annual fundraiser, with proceeds supporting the organization’s community projects.
