HIGH SCHOOL GOLF:
The Fairfield Mules and Lady Mules Golf teams were in action yesterday for a meet at the Fairfield Public Golf Course. The Mules Boys team finished 1st overall with a team score of 156 in the 4-way meet. They were followed by Edwards County with a 169, NCOE with a 170, and Wayne City with a 196. Fairfield’s Cruz Wells finished 2nd with a 37, and River Wise and Alex Fry tied for 3rd, each shooting a 39. Other scores for Fairfield were Jesse Simpson 7th with a 41 and Andrew Hutcheson and Lane Witucki tied for 9th, each with a 43.
The Lady Mules golfers were also in action yesterday, with Amelia Hopfinger finishing 1st with a 47, Carly Colclasure finished 2nd with a 61, Sloan Austin finished 4th with a 65 and Nora Oliver 6th with a 72.
