The Phils have now won nine in a row. Riley O’Brien was charged with the loss after allowing six runs on five hits and a walk for St. Louis, which has dropped four of its last five. The Cardinals host Baltimore tomorrow night.

Police say Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb’s house in Fairview was ransacked while he was away with the team during training camp. Authorities say one person entered through a broken window and stole several high-end items valued at more than 300-thousand dollars. The team was on the road for nearly a month between practice and preseason games.

(Atlanta, GA) — The quarterback competition in Atlanta is officially “on.” Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media that Michael Penix Jr. has been fully cleared for practice. The eighth-overall pick in the 2024 draft is recovering from knee surgery and was only doing individual work throughout training camp. He’ll challenge Tua Tagovailoa [[ TUNG-oh-vai-LO-uh ]] for the starting job.

(St. Louis, MO) — Wyndham Clark gets to celebrate another victory after winning the BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis. Clark finished atop the leaderboard by three strokes after shooting 17 under par for the tournament. This marks the sixth career Tour victory for Clark. Patrick Cantlay finished in second at 14 under par and Rory McIlroy was third at 13 under. Defending champion Scottie Scheffler tied for 12th at seven under par.

(Loudon, NH) — Ryan Blaney cruised to victory lane in the Dollar Tree 301 from New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The driver of the Number-12 car held off Bubba Wallace by more than half-a-second to take home the checkered flag. Josh Berry, Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson rounded out the top-five finishers. The NASCAR Cup Series field heads to Daytona on Saturday for the last race of the regular season.
