The Hope Center in Albion will welcome an Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs Veteran Service Officer on Wednesday.
Donald L. Bielecki II, an IDVA Veteran Service Officer, will be available beginning at 10 a.m. at The Hope Center, located at 23 West Cherry Street in Albion.
Veteran Service Officers work with the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs to help former service members and their families access federal and state benefits they have earned.
Services include assistance with filing claims for VA disability compensation and pensions, along with guidance on health care, education, employment and housing programs.
Assistance provided by accredited Veteran Service Officers is available at no cost to veterans and their families.
