Two separate recalls are affecting dog food and over-the-counter eye drops sold across the United States.
The Food and Drug Administration says Fromm Family Foods is recalling approximately 5,800 cases of canned dog food following complaints of possible metal contamination.
The recall includes nearly 4,000 cases of Fromm Turkey Pate wet dog food and nearly 2,000 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pate wet dog food.
The products were distributed through pet stores and online retailers across the United States and Canada. No illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled dog food.
In a separate recall, bottles of Clear Eyes Maximum Itchy Eye Relief are being voluntarily recalled because of a lack of assurance of sterility.
The recall involves half-fluid-ounce bottles distributed nationwide by Medtech Products. The eye drops were sold at major retailers, including CVS and Walmart.
According to the FDA, the voluntary recall began July 29 and remains ongoing.
