HIGH SCHOOL GOLF:
The Fairfield Mules Boys Golf team was in action Tuesday at the Fairfield Public Golf Course in a tri-match with Red Hill and Wayne City. Fairfield finished 2nd overall with a 159, behind Red Hill with a 151. Wayne City finished 3rd with a 174. The Mules Alex Fry finished 3rd overall with a 38 and Cruz Wells and Andrew Hutcheson tied for 4th with a 40 each. Other scores for Fairfield were River Wise and Lane Witucki 9th with a 41 and Jesse Simpson 15th with a 47.
The Lady Mules golfers were in action at Centralia vs. Okawville, Vandalia, and Centralia. Amelia Hopfinger finished 4th with a 46, Carly Colclasure finished 9th with a 51, and Sloan Austin finished 19th with a 60.
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS TENNIS:
The Fairfield Lady Mules Tennis team picked up their 2nd win of the season Tuesday with a 9-0 victory over Centralia. The Lady Mules picked up singles victories from Marlee Richards, Kenry Hutchcraft, Carly Fleener, Malia Austin, Ella Gonzalez, and Emily Vaughan. The Doubles pairings of Marlee Richards and Kenry Hutchcraft, Emily Vaughan and Malori Simpson, and Carly Fleener and Malia Austin swept their matchups as well.

NFL Network reports the 30-year-old agreed yesterday to a deal that’ll pay him 20-million-dollars. Froholdt was entering the final year of an extension he signed in 2024. He has started all 51 games for the Cardinals over the past three years.

He entered the country legally from Venezuela in 2014, but overstayed his visa once it expired in 2018, was detained at the El Paso airport last week. KGTV says he has now been released on bond.

(Undated) — The top two conferences in college football are uniting to stop NFL players who want to return to school and play football. Conference leaders from the Big 10 voted on Tuesday to block anyone who didn’t withdraw from the draft, appeared on a roster or signed a pro contract from playing. The SEC passed a similar measure hours later. The news comes after a Louisiana judge allowed players in NFL training camps to re-join LSU.
