More than 27,000 packages of white rice are being recalled because of possible contamination with foreign material.

The FDA says the recall involves Lundberg Family Farms Jasmine White Rice in 32-ounce packages.

The affected packages have best-before dates in February 2027 and were distributed in several states, including Illinois, California, Connecticut, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

The rice is being recalled as a precaution due to the potential presence of foreign material.

Consumers with affected packages are advised not to eat the rice and to throw it away.
