A boil water order is now in effect for Fairfield Rural Waterworks Corporation customers who lost water service because of a water line leak in the Jasper Water area.
Fairfield Rural Waterworks reported Monday afternoon that a leak was discovered near 2200 East and 1070 North, west of Ray Webb’s residence.
Crews were dispatched to make repairs, requiring water service to be shut off in the affected area.
Officials say any customer who experienced a loss of water service during the repair will be under a boil water order. The boil order will remain in effect until further notice.
