Young anglers are invited to take part in the Gerald J. Memorial Fishing Tournament during this year’s Fairfield Fall Fun Fest.
The tournament will be held Saturday, September 19th at Leo French Park Lake and is open to children ages 5 through 16.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with fishing starting at 8 a.m. The weigh-in and awards ceremony will begin at 10 a.m.
Participants should bring their own fishing pole, bait, chair and bucket. Trophies and prizes will be awarded in three age divisions: 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16.
The tournament is organized by Fry’s Excavating & Disposal and Brandon and Chasity Fry. Wabash Valley/FS and Pilgrim Energy Partners LLC are sponsoring the event.
