The Fairfield City Council will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. at City Hall, with several business development agreements and proposed ordinances on the agenda.
The council is scheduled to consider business district agreements involving Clothesline and CC Nails LLC, along with a TIF District agreement for Fairfield Laundromat. Trackside Auto Repair is scheduled to give a Business District presentation, while The Reserve has submitted a revolving loan request.
Council members will also consider an ordinance banning the sale and delivery of kratom within the city and another ordinance regulating stray and feral cats. An anti-nepotism policy is also up for consideration.
Other business includes recognizing the retirement of Darin Hopper, considering the purchase of a used truck for the Gas Department and discussing a fire-damaged building.
Street-closing requests will be considered for the Veterans Parade on November 2nd and the Christmas Parade on December 5th. The council is also expected to set this year’s trick-or-treat dates and consider a Recreation Committee expenditure request.
Updates are scheduled on the Leininger Road water line project and Midwest Food Bank.
The council will also consider matters involving executive-session records before a possible executive session and adjournment.
