Families and youngsters will have plenty to do during the Fairfield Fall Fun Fest on Saturday, September 19th with several activities planned throughout the morning and afternoon.
The WADI Head Start Kiddie Parade will kick off the day’s children’s activities. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. at North Side School, with the parade starting at 11 a.m. and traveling to the High Rise. Free water and pizza will be available on the High Rise lawn following the parade, with pizza donated by One Step Ahead HME.
At noon, the Cisne FFA Alumni Pedal Pull will get underway near the High Rise. Youngsters will have an opportunity to compete behind the wheel of pedal tractors. The event is sponsored by the Wayne County Farm Bureau and supports the Cisne FFA Alumni’s efforts to promote agricultural education.
Also beginning at noon near the High Rise, the Fairfield City Fire Department will host a “Touch a Fire Truck” event. Children and families will be able to get an up-close look at a Fairfield fire engine and some of the equipment used by local firefighters.
All three events are part of the family-friendly activities planned for the 2026 Fairfield Fall Fun Fest.
