An 18-year-old Harrisburg man faces four felony charges after police say a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ended with crashes into a utility pole, police vehicle and home.

Carrier Mills Police say Sgt. William Johnston spotted a stolen Toyota RAV4 entering Carrier Mills around 12:10 p.m. Tuesday. The driver allegedly refused to stop and fled at dangerous speeds before striking a utility pole and breaking it in half.

Police say the driver then rammed a Carrier Mills police vehicle and continued fleeing before crashing into a house, causing major damage.

The driver, identified as 18-year-old Jermaine J. Washington of Harrisburg, allegedly fled on foot before being captured nearby.

Washington is charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, possession of a stolen vehicle, criminal damage to state-supported property and criminal damage to property.

He was being held in the Saline County Jail.
