A benefit for Julie Piper will be held Saturday, October 3rd at the Wayne City Community Building, 103 East Mill Street.
The event will help Tim and Julie Piper with medical expenses as Julie battles Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments at St. Louis University Hospital and is expected to have additional treatments and medical appointments in the months ahead.
A meal will be served beginning at 5 p.m. with dine-in and carryout options available. The $10 meal will include a choice of chicken or pork loin, green beans, cheesy potatoes, a roll, tea or lemonade and dessert.
A silent auction will also be held, and additional donations will be accepted.
All proceeds from the benefit will go toward the couple’s medical expenses.
