The Wayne County Board will meet tonight (Thursday) at 7 p.m. at the Wayne County Courthouse, with health insurance, court fees and polling place changes among the items on the agenda.

Brent Williams with Hope Trust is scheduled to meet with the board to discuss health insurance renewal options.
The board will also consider a request from Wayne County Housing Authority Executive Director Kim Musgrave to appoint Linda Tucker as a Housing Authority commissioner. The appointment would be for a five-year term following the expiration of Ronald Baker’s term in June.

The Circuit Clerk’s Office will present a resolution establishing civil fees and criminal and traffic assessments to be charged by the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

County Clerk matters include possible approval of consolidating polling places for Big Mound Precincts 1 and 2 and Lamard Precinct 2 due to ADA requirements. The board will also consider a Wayne County Trustee resolution involving Knox Resources LLC and property in Lamard Township.

Regular reports are scheduled from county officeholders and departments, along with committee reports covering finance, the Sheriff’s Department, EMA, Animal Control, roads and bridges, insurance, county buildings, economic development and other matters.

The board will also consider payment of county bills before adjournment.
