The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department reports three arrests following separate investigations involving methamphetamine.
On Saturday at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in Fairfield and reportedly located methamphetamine. 41-year-old Shaun D. Carl and 47-year-old Susan J. Grove, both of rural Fairfield, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and transported to the Wayne County Jail.
In a separate incident late Tuesday night, deputies went to a rural Fairfield residence and located 54-year-old Jamie L. Vaughan. Authorities say Vaughan had been ordered to report to the Wayne County Jail earlier that day to begin serving a sentence but failed to do so.
Following a short investigation, deputies searched Vaughan’s residence and reportedly discovered approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine divided among multiple plastic bags.
Vaughan faces preliminary charges of delivery or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, escape, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of conditions of pretrial release.
