The Fairfield Lady Mules Tennis team faced off with the Carmi-White County Lady Bulldogs on Thursday at the Lakeside Tennis Courts and came away with an impressive 8-1 victory. The Lady Mules picked up Singles wins from Wren Braddock, Marlee Richards, Kenry Hutchcraft, Malia Austin, and Ella Gonzalez and Doubles wins from the teams of Marlee Richards and Kenry Hutchcraft, Emily Vaughan and Malori Simpson, and Carly Fleener and Malia Austin.

Daly says an update in the process to launch an NHL franchise in either Houston or Austin will be provided to the Board of Governors later this month, and he remains hopeful that the Phoenix area gets another chance to host a team.

(Undated) — The Big Ten Conference is expanding access to its football replay review process after last week’s controversial ending of the Michigan-Western Michigan game. Starting this weekend, every game officiated by Big Ten crews will feature live audio between the referee and replay official during reviews, alongside game footage being viewed during the process and a view inside the Big Ten Replay Center. The conference had only planned to allow the in-depth access available for Friday night games, but decided to go further after Michigan got an extra second to beat Western this past weekend.
