The Fairfield Mules Boys Golf team was in action Monday at the Robinson Invitational at Quail Creek Country Club. The Mules finished 5th overall with Effingham-St. Anthony finishing in 1st. Individual results for the Mules were Andrew Hutcheson-21st with an 84, Cruz Wells and River Wise-23rd with an 85, Alex Fry-27th with an 88, and Lane Witucki-42nd with a 97.

>>Providence Catholic High School Fires Football Coach During Undefeated Season
(New Lenox, IL) — Providence Catholic High School is letting go of its football coach, despite being undefeated this season. The school announced the firing of coach Tyler Plantz on Sunday. Plantz led the Celtics to a 4-and-0 start this year and a number-one ranking in Class 5A. Providence Catholic didn’t cite any reasons for the firing, but Plantz blamed disorganization related to scheduling games for lower-level teams, which wasn’t his responsibility.
