Several criminal cases were resolved Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court, with defendants receiving sentences ranging from probation to county jail time.
51-year-old Charles P. Curtner of Olney pleaded guilty to Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, a Class 3 felony. Court records show Curtner was sentenced to two years of probation. As part of the sentence, he was ordered to undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and comply with any required treatment. He was also ordered to pay a $25 monthly probation fee. A review hearing has been scheduled for August 13, 2028, at 9 a.m. Under the plea agreement, Counts I, III and IV of the case were dismissed.
37-year-old Kylee C. Davis of Fairfield pleaded guilty to Threatening a Public Official, a Class 3 felony. Davis was sentenced to 180 days in the Wayne County Jail. Court records state she is to receive credit for time already served in custody while awaiting disposition of the case. Under the plea agreement, Counts II and III were dismissed.
45-year-old Brian P. Davis of Olney admitted to violating his probation in a case involving Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. Davis was resentenced to two years of probation. The court also imposed a 90-day Wayne County Jail sentence but stayed the jail term, meaning Davis will not serve the sentence as long as he successfully complies with the terms of his probation and other court orders.
As part of his sentence, Davis was ordered to undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and successfully complete drug court in Richland County. He was also ordered to pay a $25 monthly probation fee. A review hearing is scheduled for August 15, 2028, at 9 a.m.
