The Wayne County Soil and Water Conservation District, in partnership with Vortex, is offering local producers an opportunity to try cover crops through a free 50-acre demonstration.
Under the program, participating farmers will pick up and pull the turbo till and air seeder for the demonstration.
The first 50 acres are free, while producers wishing to cover additional acreage may do so at a cost of $18 per acre.
