The 18th Annual FNB Fall Fun Fest 5K was held September 17th in Fairfield, with Mark Merkel of Effingham and Jaycie Couch of Fairfield taking the top overall honors.
Merkel was the overall male winner, finishing in 18 minutes, 24 seconds. Jayson Rawls placed second in 18:39, followed by Evan Shuff in third at 18:49. Couch was the top female finisher with a time of 23:49. Jordan Atwood finished second in 25:30, while Noelle Fopay placed third in 25:52.
In the female walking division, Tami Nale took first with a time of 41:54, followed by Sommer Tennant at 45:38 and Melissa Curd at 45:58.
Joshua Faber won the stroller walk/run division in 23:48. Dalton Rudd finished second in 26:53, and Aaron Tucker was third in 29:15.
Male age-group winners were Jonathan Rawls, 10 and under; Hudson Weber, 11-15; Jude Carter, 16-20; Joe Rodgers, 21-30; Michael Semidey, 31-40; Carroll Sanders, 41-50; and Steve Hnetkovsky, 51 and older.
Female age-group winners were Clara Curd, 10 and under; Bristol Weber, 11-15; Auburn Abbott, 16-20; Marissa Spitzner, 21-30; Hannah McMeen, 31-40; Laura Zurliene, 41-50; and Debra Hallam, 51 and older.
