The Wayne City Saddle Club will continue its weekend activities Sunday with a church service followed by a Cowboy Race.
The morning will begin with Church at the Saddle Club, brought by George Musgrave. Following the service, the club will hold a Cowboy Race, which will begin no earlier than noon.
The Cowboy Race will test horses and riders through a variety of obstacles designed around speed, skill and teamwork. Events include opening and closing a gate, tarp crossing, weaving through poles, backing through an L-shaped course, roping a dummy, crossing a teeter-totter bridge, dragging an obstacle, kicking a large ball, navigating a cowboy curtain and carrying a flag.
The event is open to riders, and the concession stand will be open throughout the activities.
The Sunday events follow Saturday evening’s Fun Show at the Wayne City Saddle Club as part of the Bean Days weekend
