EDWARDS COUNTY FFA PLACES FIFTH AT SECTION 23 FORESTRY CDE

The Edwards County FFA has completed its first competition of the school year, placing fifth overall at the Section 23 Forestry Career Development Event.

The Forestry CDE tests students’ knowledge and skills in areas related to trees and forestry. Competitors were challenged to identify different types of trees, read maps and complete other forestry-related activities.

Members of the Edwards County team were Kayden Alexander, Grant Doelling, Josie Duncan, Zaivor Lee, Quentin Pike and Isaac Stevens. The team is coached by Michelle Wiseman.

Stevens also earned an individual honor, finishing fifth overall in the competition.
