The 2026 Fairfield PaintOut is underway, with artists continuing to work at locations throughout Wayne County.
Today, artists have the option of traveling to Cedarhurst Museum in Mount Vernon to paint for the Spencer Meagher Legacy category. The museum will be open from 10am to 5pm. Artists may also choose to paint elsewhere in Wayne County.
On Friday, painting will continue throughout the county before all artwork must be turned in at Fairfield CP Church by 3:30 p.m. for the PaintOut Art Show and Sale.
Saturday’s activities will include a Youth Chalk Art Show in the CP Church parking lot. Judging of artists’ work will continue until 11 a.m., with awards announced at noon.
Community members are encouraged to watch for artists working throughout the area. Artist biographies are also being featured on the Fairfield PaintOut Facebook page.
The event will conclude with the PaintOut Art Show and Sale, giving the public an opportunity to view and purchase artwork created during this year’s event.
