The City of Fairfield Water Distribution Department has issued a boil order for several areas of the city following water system repairs.
The boil order includes customers in the following areas:
– West Delaware and Southwest 7th Street to West Center Street
– Southwest 6th Street and West Center Street to Southwest 10th Street
– Southwest 10th Street and Leininger to Southwest 7th Street
– Anyone in the general area who may have been without water during the repairs
Until further notice, customers in the affected areas should boil water used for drinking, food preparation, making ice or any other form of human consumption.
The boil order will remain in effect until water samples pass testing. The city will issue a notice when the order has been lifted.
