Fairfield National Bank has announced the appointment of Colton Wilkerson as Senior Lending Officer.
In his new role, Wilkerson will oversee the bank’s lending operations, lead the lending team and work to strengthen relationships with individuals, families, farmers and businesses throughout the communities FNB serves.
Wilkerson most recently served as Fairfield National Bank’s Chief Financial Officer. His background also includes public accounting and previous service as the bank’s Controller.
“I’m most looking forward to transitioning into a more customer-focused role as Senior Lending Officer,” Wilkerson said. “My background in public accounting and my experience as the bank’s Controller and Chief Financial Officer have given me a strong foundation in accounting, finance, and risk management.”
Wilkerson said he looks forward to applying that experience while working directly with customers to better understand their goals and challenges.
“The best part about community banking is that it’s personal,” Wilkerson said. “It’s about knowing our customers, understanding their businesses and operations, and being there to support them through both good years and challenging ones.”
FNB President and CEO Joey Hungerford said Wilkerson’s commitment to the bank’s customers, employees and communities has been evident throughout his career.
“His leadership, strong financial background, and genuine desire to help others make him an excellent fit for this role,” Hungerford said. “We are excited to see the positive impact he will have on our customers and loan team.”
Fairfield National Bank was founded in 1903 and continues to provide financial services through local decision-making and a focus on customer and community relationships.
