Brenda Jo McFarland of Grayville, formerly of New Harmony, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Wabash Senior Living in Carmi. She was born on Sunday, July 12, 1959, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Al and Emma (Pfender) Josey. Brenda married Michael David McFarland on September 6, 1980. She worked in retail and was later a rural mail carrier. Brenda was a member of Johnson United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, horses and being with her pets.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael McFarland of Grayville, IL. and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bob Wentz.
