A Fairfield man was sentenced in Wayne County Circuit Court on a felony harassment charge, according to court documents filed Tuesday.

Zachary A.D. Hurley, 23, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of Harassment Through Electronic Communications, a Class 4 felony.

Hurley was sentenced to two years of probation. Court records also show a 180-day jail sentence was imposed but stayed.

As part of the sentence, Hurley must comply with standard probation conditions, including reporting to the probation department, remaining free of illegal drugs, submitting to drug testing when ordered, and not possessing firearms or other dangerous weapons. He was also ordered to have no contact with two individuals named in the court order and to complete any programs or counseling required by probation.

Court records indicate another count was dismissed as part of the plea agreement. Hurley was also ordered to pay court costs.
