The Wayne County Board will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Wayne County Courthouse.
The meeting will be held in the County Board room downstairs in the basement of the courthouse.
Among the items listed under new business are a 2026 budget amendment, a Public Defender request and executive session minutes.
The board will also hear regular reports from the Highway Department, State’s Attorney, Circuit Clerk, Sheriff, County Clerk, Treasurer, Supervisor of Assessments, Coroner and Health Department.
Committee reports will include Claims and Finance, Sheriff, EMA, Animal Control and Welfare, Road and Bridge, Insurance and Education, Building and Grounds and Safety, Economic Development, Rules and Policy, and the Liquor Commission.
The meeting will also include approval of the September minutes, public comments, chairman’s comments and appointments, and payment of county bills.
