The Albion Fire Department had a busy afternoon Wednesday, responding to three separate incidents, including two combine fires and a reported gas leak.
According to Albion Fire Chief Scott Meserole, firefighters were first dispatched to a combine fire west of Albion involving a machine owned by Greg Mann. The combine sustained some fire damage.
As firefighters were wrapping up that call, the department was dispatched to a reported gas leak on West Locust Street in Albion, where a company was tearing down a residence.
While firefighters were at the gas leak location, another combine fire was reported east of Albion. That combine, owned by Leo Woods, sustained considerable damage.
Chief Meserole reported that no injuries occurred at any of the three locations.
