Frank W. Auker of Dix, IL passed away quietly at home after a short illness on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 3 days. He was born on June 10, 1955 in Lancaster County, PA to the late Paul & Emeline Auker. He was a faithful member of the Walnut Hill Congregation, Eastern. He was united in marriage to Ruth Brubacker on February 28, 1976 in Ephrata, PA. They lived in the Ephrata area until 1985, then moved to Loveville, MD until 2003 when they moved to Illinois.
He will be greatly missed by Ruth his wife of 50 years, daughter Jennifer Wenger (husband Lloyd), sons: Jonathan (wife Nicole), Mark (wife Melissa), David (wife Faith Marie), Kenneth (wife Lillian), Stephen (wife Gloria), Michael (wife Dawn), and Jeffrey (wife Anita), as well as 29 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also surviving are 6 brothers, 4 sisters, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Ann, brothers: Jim, Leon, Paul, and Luke, sister-in-law Charlene, and a grandson Bryson.
Visitation will be held at Walnut Hill Mennonite Church in Centralia, IL on Sunday, October 18, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and then resume from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Walnut Hill Mennonite Church, 1221 Bell Club Rd., Centralia, IL 62801. Interment will follow the funeral service at the adjoining cemetery.
