EDWARDS COUNTY YOUNG LEADERS PRESENT “GIFT OF BLUE” TO FFA MEMBERS

For the fifth consecutive year, the Edwards County Farm Bureau Young Leaders have provided the “Gift of Blue” to members of the Edwards County High School FFA chapter.

Through an application process, FFA members were selected to receive grants covering the cost of an official FFA jacket along with a tie or scarf.

Edwards County Young Leaders Chairman Bud Anthis said the program is designed to make sure FFA members have the opportunity to own the organization’s signature blue jacket.

“The Young Leaders want all FFA members to have an opportunity to own an FFA jacket,” Anthis said. “Most of our members are former FFA members and know where involvement in the organization can take them. We want all FFA members to have that opportunity.”

Six students received jackets through the program in 2026: Konor Bailey, Justin Bunting, Tynzlee Cooper, Hannah Perry, Landon Pierson and Jackson Shelby.

The Gift of Blue program is sponsored by the Edwards County Farm Bureau Young Leaders.
