Edwards County FFA members recently competed in two horse judging career development events, earning several strong team and individual finishes. At the Section 23 Horse Judging CDE held September 28th at the White Squirrel Saddle Club in Olney, the Edwards County team placed third overall. Team members were Bristol Duncan, Eli Garrett, Carsyn Jones, Barnes Sawyer, Josie Shelby, Lane Smith and Sydney Williams. Individually, Sydney Williams placed first overall, while Carsyn Jones finished 11th and Bristol Duncan placed 14th.
Edwards County FFA also competed in the SIU Horse Judging CDE on October 2nd. That team included Aleah Carlson, Bristol Duncan, Eli Garrett, Lucas Harper, Carsyn Jones, Barnes Sawyer, Lane Smith and Sydney Williams. The Varsity Team finished 11th overall, with Carsyn Jones placing 17th individually. The JV Team placed sixth overall, led by Lane Smith with a fourth-place individual finish and Eli Garrett in 13th.
