The Edwards County Farm Bureau is once again collecting hats, gloves, and scarves for those in need as part of its 15th annual “Bob’s Tree” Christmas donation project.
The annual collection honors the memory of former Edwards County Farm Bureau Manager Bob Mason, who had a passion for helping children and supporting the Farm Bureau.
Even after his retirement, Mason continued the tradition of bringing a Christmas tree into the Farm Bureau office each holiday season. To honor his memory and his dedication to children, the Farm Bureau established “Bob’s Tree” as a way to help less fortunate families throughout Edwards County.
Community members are encouraged to donate new, homemade, or gently used hats, gloves, and scarves for both children and adults. Donated items will be displayed on the Christmas tree inside the Edwards County Farm Bureau office throughout the collection period.
Donations are being accepted now through Friday, December 4, 2026.
Following the collection, the donated winter accessories will be distributed to children in need throughout Edwards County.
The Edwards County Farm Bureau encourages area residents to participate in the annual holiday tradition and help provide warmth to those in need this winter.
