A Salem, IL man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to separate charges of possession of methamphetamine and meth delivery.
Media reports from Marion County say 36 year old Ryan Moghadam received a six-year prison sentence, with the prison sentence to be served concurrently, and he received credit for 94 days already served in the Marion County Jail.
Police arrested Moghadam in August of 2025 following a traffic stop in Salem, in which he was one of three passengers in the vehicle. He was charged with a Class X charge of possession with the intent to deliver meth, along with possession of between 15 and 100 grams of meth. As part of the guilty plea, the Class X charge was later dropped.
Moghadam was arrested a second time in July on a warrant for meth delivery, less than five grams, and delivery of five to 15 grams. The delivery of five to 15 grams was dropped as part of the plea. At that time, his pre-trial release on the first arrest was revoked, with Moghadam ordered held without bond in the Marion County Jail.
