Jacqueline Dorene Pearson, 88, of Grayville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026. She was born on Thursday, August 25, 1938, the daughter of John “Jeff” and Evelyn (Flemming) McCollum. Jackie married Larry S. Pearson on June 14, 1957, and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2015. She started her working career as a beautician, and later on worked as a secretary for Chatsworth High School, Wabash Regional Planning commission, Terrell Drilling and Meadowood Nursing Home. Jackie was a member of the Grayville United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Grayville Quilters Guild. Jackie was a life long Cubs fan. She enjoyed fishing, reading, sewing and working in her yard. In her younger years, she enjoyed barrel racing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.
Jackie is survived by her children, Tracy (Lisa) Pearson of Evansville, IN. and Teresa (Andy) Brock of Grayville, IL; grandchildren, Drew (Alyssa) Pearson, Bryce Pearson and Whitney (Ian) Savage; great-grandchildren, Ava, Skyler, Rylan and Mattingly.
In addition to her husband, Larry Pearson, Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Michelle Nelson.
A private celebration of life and inurnment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville. Contributions may be made in Jackie’s memory to the Grayville Illinois Senior Citizens Center, 212 E. North St. Grayville, IL. 62844. Roberts and Cook Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
