A 19-year-old Cisne man was injured in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Wayne County.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department investigated the accident, which occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. on U.S. Highway 45 near County Road 2250 North in Keith Township.
According to the crash report, Deegan Riley of Cisne was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 45 in a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado when his vehicle left the right side of the roadway.
Riley reportedly encountered loose gravel along the shoulder and attempted to return to the roadway. He lost control of the truck, which struck a concrete field entrance containing a culvert.
The vehicle came to rest facing northeast, approximately 50 yards from the field entrance.
Riley was transported by Clay County Ambulance personnel to Clay County Hospital in Flora for treatment of injuries.
