Stella K. Isaacs, 82, of Fairfield, died at 1:08pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. She had been a homemaker.
Stella was born on September 9, 1941, in Walpole, IL, to Carl and Kathryn (Abbott) Cremeens. On October 4, 1958, she married the love of her life, Lowell Isaacs.
Stella was a member of the Outreach for Christ Church in Brownville, IL, and had a very strong faith in Jesus Christ and a deep love for her family. She also enjoyed working at Mindy’s Sewing Shop, gardening, and canning the crops from the garden. Stella was very dedicated to her daily exercise and was a faithful member of the walking group at the First Christian Church in Fairfield.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Lowell Isaacs of Fairfield, two sons Bill (Dianna) Isaacs of Fairfield and Tim (Mindy) Isaacs of Mill Shoals, five daughters Brenda (Larry) Stafford of Counce, TN, Becky (Mike) Hannaford of Humboldt, TN, Angie Phelps of Carmi, IL, Renee (Jeremy) Rush of Springerton, IL, and Tracey Gunter of Muphysboro, IL, 25 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, her brother Robert Cremeens of Carterville, IL, a special sister-in-law Madge Sons of Herrin, IL, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Danny Isaacs, two sisters Dorothy Butler and Nellie Breeden, and a brother Carl Cremeens.
Funeral services for Stella Isaacs will be at 12pm on Saturday, February 3rd at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Garrison Cemetery, south of Wayne City. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the Dr. Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
