The Fairfield Grade School District Board of Education met on Monday evening to discuss key updates regarding the district’s financial and staffing matters. Superintendent Kristina Gardner informed the board that the district has received 15% of its expected revenue while expenditures have reached 24% of the overall budget. The current balance for the food service program is $256,839.

On October 16th, the school improvement team held a meeting to assess various areas within the district and identify ongoing needs. The district plans to reconvene next month to review data related to its performance. Additionally, the board annually signs an agreement with Child and Family Connections to support preschool students in transition.

Following a closed session, the board took several actions, hiring Julie Hutson and Kelsey Brendal as long-term substitutes for the months of October, November, and December. The board also appointed Angie Hout as the girls’ 5th/6th basketball coach.
