HAMILTON COUNTY CRASH INJURES ONE

On Thursday afternoon, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a crash involving a pickup truck and a semi-truck on Illinois 14. According to deputies, the pickup truck turned off Old Coal Mine Road and into the path of the semi. Fortunately, the semi driver was not injured. However, the driver of the pickup required extrication by the McLeansboro Fire Department and was transported by ambulance to Hamilton Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to another facility. His condition remains unknown.
