FAIRFIELD RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT REPOND TO TRUCK FIRE IN GEFF SATURDAY

The Fairfield Rural Fire Department was called out Saturday afternoon around 4:30 to a report of a truck on fire in Geff. The driver,  Christopher McGee from Flora abandoned his vehicle after it began to smoke. When firefighters arrived, the truck was completely engulfed in flames and was deemed a total loss. The intense heat from the fire melted the siding of Kayli Cone’s home and her mailbox at 214 South Washington. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
