ILLINOIS STATE POLICE HANDLE CRASH ON I-64 WESTBOUND EXIT 100 OFF RAMP TUESDAY MORNING

Wayne City Fire and Ambulance along with the Illinois State Police responded to a single vehicle accident Tuesday morning around 8:45 at the I-64 westbound off ramp at milepost 100.  Illinois State Police say a Ford Escape was driving westbound on the exit off ramp and was traveling too fast for conditions and failed to negotiate the curve.  The vehicle left the roadway and struck a delineator post and road sign.  Wayne City Fire Chief, Scott Clark says his department arrived on the scene and checked out the driver of the vehicle.  No other injuries were reported.
