The Eastern Illinois Foodbank will be in Clay County on Monday, November 11th, to distribute food to families facing food insecurity. Attendees are encouraged to bring boxes or bags for carrying their food.
The food mobile will start at the Band Stand on Front Street in Xenia from 9 to 9:30 AM, then move to Flora’s Rotary Park from 10 to 11 AM. After that, it will set up at 500 South Main in Clay City from 11:30 AM to noon. Finally, the food mobile will be at the Louisville Baseball Field from 1 to 1:45 PM for food distribution.
Those planning to attend are advised to pre-register at www.EIFclient.com, although pre-registration does not guarantee a place in line, and some income guidelines apply.
This event is part of the Foodbank’s Food Mobile Program, which provides mobile food pantries to deliver nutritious food to rural and underserved areas.
