SEVERAL PLEAD GUILTY IN WAYNE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT TUESDAY

Several guilty pleas were handed down in Wayne County Circuit Court Tuesday.  Danelle Carter, a 37-year-old resident from Decatur pled guilty to a charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine plus court costs.  The offense dates back to May 3rd, 2024.  Carter was sentenced to 5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and this sentence is to run concurrent with a sentence that Carter is already serving time for in prison.

 

Cisne resident, 40-year-old Kevin Bowles pled guilty to Driving While License Revoked and was sentenced to one year of probation and ordered to pay court costs.  Bowles will also spend 10 days in the Wayne County Jail and also ordered to wear an electronic GPS monitoring device.

 

David Wilson, 27 of Fairfield pled guilty to Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer.  Wilson was placed on one year of probation.  Wilson also pled guilty to Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and was sentenced to two year probation and ordered to pay court costs on both guilty pleas.

 

32-year-old Garrett Joslin of Fairfield was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for violating a previous term of probation on charges dating back to May, 2020 of Aggravated Battery.  Joslin was also ordered to pay court costs and was given 20 days credit for time already served.

 

Springfield Illinois resident, 43-year-old Erin Tomlin pled guilty to Unlawful Restraint and was placed on 30 months probation plus court costs.

 

Jennifer Boshart, 41 of Fairfield pled guilty to a charge of Theft and was placed on 24 months probation plus ordered to pay court costs.

 

37-year-old Kyle Butcher of Flora pled guilty to Aggravated DUI and was sentenced to 30 months probation plus court costs.
