EDWARDS COUNTY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING SET FOR MONDAY

The Board of Education of the Edwards County Unit School District is scheduled to meet Monday night (November 18th) in the West Salem Grade School Science Room.  The meeting will begin at 6:45 with a public hearing for the 2024 Tax Levy (Truth In Taxation Hearing).  The regular meeting is set to begin at 7pm and some items on the agenda include under Unfinished Business:  motion to approve the 2024 Tax Levy payable in 2025, 2nd reading and adoption of a Social Emotional Curriculum.  Under New Business: motion to approve a Therapy Dog Program, motion to approve an Intergovernmental Agreement with Law Enforcement, first reading of a Cardiac Plan and also administering medicines to students, curriculum proposals for the 25-26 school year and a motion to approve donations over $500.  Also on the agenda includes administrative reports and discussion on personnel.
