By Mark Wells Nov 27, 2024 | 11:54 AM

In celebration of National Rural Health Day, Clay County Hospital announced it has earned a 2024 Performance Leadership Award for outstanding performance in Quality. This recognition, presented by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, highlights rural hospitals that achieve top-quartile performance in Quality, Outcomes, or Patient Perspective.

The hospital credits its quality team—Melissa Storck, Chief of Quality; Charlotte Cooper, Manager of Data Analysis and EVS; Roni Mason, Clinical Informatics RN; and Jennifer Woolever, Quality Improvement RN—for their contributions to this achievement. Their work reflects Clay County Hospital’s commitment to setting the standard for rural healthcare delivery.

The Performance Leadership Awards are determined using data from the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX, a comprehensive benchmarking tool for assessing rural hospital performance. The INDEX is widely used by hospitals, health systems, and state offices to measure success in key operational and financial areas.
