Last Thursday (December 12th) at approximately 1:45 PM, Fairfield Police responded to a traffic crash at First and Main Street. A 2012 Dodge Caravan, driven by William L. Carlock, 37 of Fairfield struck a 2015 Kia driven by Reginald Garrett, 51 of Fairfield. Carlock was traveling north on First Street and disregarded a red signal, striking Garrett, who was traveling west on Main Street. Carlock was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
On Friday (December 13th) at approximately 7:45 PM, officers responded to a traffic crash in the 1200 block of W Main Street. A 2005 Toyota, driven by Trenten L. Rutherford, 20 of Fairfield was traveling west, when he ran off the roadway, striking a metal pole fence at Dairy Queen. The Toyota then struck a 2012 Chevrolet driven by Laurel B. Thomas, 31 of Mt. Carmel. The Toyota overturned and came to rest on West Main Street. Rutherford was cited for Improper Lane Usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
On Saturday (December 14th) at approximately 4:00 PM, officers responded to a traffic crash in the 1000 block of W Main Street. A 2001 Ford driven by Denise M. Mousette, 38 of Fairfield was traveling in the south lane and a 2018 Volvo, driven by Andew M. Churchill, 34 of Fairfield was traveling in the north lane. Mousette advised an unknown vehicle pulled from SW 10th onto Main Street and she attempted to change lanes and struck Churchill’s vehicle.
On Saturday, at approximately 11:20 PM, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a white Chrysler with no headlight. The driver, identified as Tyler N. Dunkin, 31 of Fairfield was discovered to have a suspended license. Dunkin was issued a notice to appear.
