Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 30-year-old Christopher J. Richardson at his home in Woodlawn on Friday night. He was taken into custody on a Jefferson County warrant charging him with Child Pornography and Unlawful Grooming. Richardson is currently held at the Jefferson County Jail, awaiting his pretrial detention hearing.
The warrant and subsequent arrest stemmed from an investigation initiated on September 28, after the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a Cybertip regarding the solicitation of a juvenile for nude pictures.
The investigation led to the issuance and execution of multiple search warrants related to suspect accounts, electronic devices, and Richardson’s residence. Once the investigation concluded, the case file was forwarded to the States Attorney’s Office for formal charges.
