VEHICLE ACCIDENT MONDAY SEND ONE PERSON TO HOSPITAL

Illinois State Police Troop 9 responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident Mondaybafternoon on IL 130 at Short Lane near Parkersburg in Richland County.  State Police say just a little after 5:30, a red mini sedan driven by 72-year-old LeLand Roth of Sterling, Virginia was traveling southbound on IL 130.  A black Freightliner truck-tractor with semi-trailer driven by 49-year-old Casondra Sanders of Hattiesburg, Mississippi began to turn off of IL 130 onto Short Lane when the Roth vehicle struck the side of the truck-tractor semi trailer.  LeLand Roth was transported to Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney with injuries.  The driver of the semi was not injured.
