BALLOT MEASURE TO BUY NEW FIRETRUCK ON THE SPRING BALLOT FOR WEST SALEM

The Village of West Salem is proposing the purchase of a new firetruck, specifically a 2024 International pumper truck, which will be on the ballot for the April 1st election. The estimated cost for the new truck is $475,000, as the current firetruck is 20 years old and considered outdated. This marks the fourth time voters will be asked to approve funding for a new firetruck, with previous requests having been approved three times.
